Wobble winner
The winner of our hotly-contended competition for a copy of Jah Wobble’s excellent new book Memoirs Of A Geezer is:
JOE TUCKER of London, who correctly identified the garment which is also a song title from PiL’s Metal Box album as The Suit.

Your copy will be on it’s way to you soon, Joe.
Commiserations to everyone else who entered; we’re in the throes of organising a giveaway of an entirely different title so better luck next time.

I had a great time with Wobble in Amsterdam, about two years ago when he was here to promote the best of cd. German tourists in his hotel were quite convinced that he was Phil Collins, and Wobble played the part. It didn’t help when I told the Germans what a great geezer “Phil” was and what a wonderful interview he had just given me. In earlier years, Wobble made himself immortal at the Pandora festival in Rotterdam where, the day after his show, he rounded up all the artists at one o’clock in the afternoon and told them “Let’s go and drink breakfast!”
